The original foam had turned into black tar. Wooden toothpicks and a little lighter fluid clean the channels without scratching the paint. New 1.5 mm adhesive foam, cut with a fresh blade, goes in channel by channel.
The first test roll came back with no leaks. The rangefinder patch still needs adjusting at infinity — next weekend.
